You’ve been asking and we’ve answered! The Among The Trees’ Rent A Bench program is now launched, and is open for bookings.
We created this program to help make workbench space accessible and available to people who may not have the space at home, or who don’t want the hassle of setting up a woodworking space at home.
Welcome to the Among The Trees Rent-A-Bench program. We created this program to help make workbench space accessible and available to people who may not have the space at home, or who don’t want the hassle of setting up a woodworking space at home.
Bench rental is only available to previous students of the following Among The Trees courses:
Beginner Woodwork: Saw Bench
Beginner Woodwork: Picture framing
Bench rental includes use of the following tools and equipment:
A solid timber workbench with a bench vise
Holdfasts and mallet
Bench dogs and does feet
Any Among The Trees' hand tools you've been taught how to use as part of one of our classes.
You are also welcome to bring any hand tools of your own to use, including: battery powered drills, drivers, electric routers, and electric sanders.
How it works
Sign up on our Class Bento page here. You can select the day you'd like to come and rent a bench with us.
If it's your first Rent-A-Bench session, make sure to book the pass that comes with an induction session. To start your first session we'll run you through the building and the space, staying safe in the building, and answer any questions you have.
You'll get an email reminder before your session just in case it slips your mind!
You come into the shop and work on a beautiful project.
