Hardwood Guitar Speaker Cabinet Making Course
Beginner-to-intermediate woodworking
One of the joys of woodwork is making objects that have both function and beauty. In this beginner-to-intermediate course, you’ll work with our instructors to build, finish and wire up a speaker cabinet from reclaimed Australian hardwood.
Across six weeks, you’ll use a range of hand and power tools and watch your very own speaker cabinet take form and produce sound, as well as learn about wiring and soldering, and the history of cabinet design and function.
This speaker cabinet project is for a small ‘practice style’ box that follows in the footsteps of the early Fender Woody design but will give you all the skills to embark on making speaker cabs of all sizes for yourself.
Bring your own 10 inch speaker cone or we can supply a Celestion speaker for an additional cost.

This workshop is aimed at people with no experience with woodwork, power tools or speaker construction and wiring and who are looking for an introduction to the craft.
There is an element of physicality involved in this course.

You are encouraged to bring your own face mask, protective eyewear, and ear protection. However, sanitised Personal Protective Equipment will be available to use. Any borrowed PPE needs to be sanitised after use.
You are required to wear closed-toe shoes.
Please wear clothing that can get dirty (e.g. sawdust will be present).
Long hair needs to be tied back and no loose-hanging jewellery should be worn.

Interested in whittling your own animals or figurines? This course will give you the skills and confidence to whittle your own creations.

Our kids courses are the perfect opportunity for kids and their parents or guardians to work together, learn some woodworking skills, and take something beautiful and handmade home.
Wooden Rolling Pin Making Class
Over the course of three hours, you'll shape your very own rolling pin using some simple, traditional hand tools such as hand planes and spokeshaves, as well as finishing the rolling pin with food-safe oil.
Wooden Mallet Making course
In this hands-on intermediate class, you'll learn how to make and fit your own woodworking mallet using some simple, traditional hand tools.
Introduction to Printmaking
The Introduction to Printmaking is a hands-on class where you will be taught and get to make your own Linocut, Wood block, Wood grain, repeat patter print and try additional techniques like Lego printing, Layer printing and printing on textiles.
Introduction to Furniture Building
Working under an experienced cabinet maker, students will learn about the basics of furniture building and will walk away with a beautiful side table you’ve built yourself.
Paddle making date night course
Over 3 hours, learn about recycled timber, the use of hand tools such as spokeshaves, rasps and files, and take home your very own finished timber paddle. Bring one or more partners, friends, or come along solo and learn some fun skills!
Furniture cord weaving course
Have you always wanted to repair woven furniture that’s broken, or weave something new for your home? In this practical class, you'll learn how to weave with furniture cord and weave a stylish footstool or small sitting stool.

This is a great course for anyone who would like to be introduced to the joys of working with hand planes. Hand planes may seem a bit old-fashioned, but through this course, you will learn about their many uses and upkeep and make a stylish serving board.
Furniture Restoration and Repair
Get started restoring, repairing, and maintaining furniture with this 2-day or 8-evening introductory course. Participants bring a piece they would like to get started repairing, and through collaborative engagement, each person will learn about a variety of common problems and repairs for different pieces of furniture.
Make a step stool
Over a day, learn about recycled timber, using tools such as hand saws and drills, and how to accurately measure and mark out timber for projects.
Hand tool woodwork fundamentals
